So you said, “Surround yourself with successful people…..” Does following them on twitter count?

I am no stranger to the success authors of today/yesterday….  Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Guy Kawasaki, etc.   I have read most of their books because I want to “Adapt the millionaire mindset” and then “think and grow rich” while “increasing my financial IQ”

That being said, one of the big tips that I have gained from alot of these books is that you should surround yourself with people that are successful.  Obviously, the theory here is that by hanging out with these people, you will slowly begin to align yourself with their viewpoints.

So in today’s world, I am not really sure if that is an option.  I am 24 years old, with limited free time and a pretty great social circle.  However, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, etc. are not in it.  Moreover, at my age, there Aren’t too many millionaires under 30 that I can grab easy access to.

I would think the next logical step would be to follow them on twitter —- I mean, if the successful people share what they are thinking, and it is useful, then it is essentially like I am getting their real time thoughts anyway, right?  Almost as good as trying to network them and meet them in person….   In any case, I follow a bunch of people…. Venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, etc.  Maybe their thought process will seep into mine…

Napoleon Hill?  Want to comment?  (that’s a joke btw)….
